In order to sit for CPA Examination in New York State, you must have a Bachelor's Degree. New York State requires a total of 60 credits in Business and Accounting. These 60 credits may be part of your Bachelor's degree or in addition to your Bachelor's degree. The specific requirements are:

Accounting 24 credits, including Advanced Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing. (Advanced Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing must be completed in a four-year college.)

Business Law 6 credits

Finance 6 credits

Business Statistics 3 credits

Economics 6 credits

Electives 15 credits of Business and Accounting electives
