Tell me, have you ever wondered why the kids in your class don't all look alike? Some have freckles, some don't. Some have dark skin and some light. Brown eyes look out from some of the faces; blue or green eyes from others. Some kids are as long and skinny as giant strands of spaghetti, while others have shapes that look more like baked potatoes.

Isn't it amazing that there are so many different looks to being a "homo sapien" (that's Latin for a human being)? Wouldn't it be a strange place if everybody looked the same? Pretty boring...and confusing, too. Like, how would you know where you stop and another person begins?

Well, this web site is the home of lots of pages about another kind of difference. About what it's like to grow up with some type of medical problem that doesn't go away. Any ole' type! Sometimes the problem isn't such a big deal, but lots of times it is. What's important to remember is that nobody chooses to have a medical problem. And nobody wants to have one--especially one that refuses to get lost!
