DESCRIPTION:The Fall 2026 Queer Theater and Performance Speaker series Welcomes Guest Artist Linda La on Wednesday Sept. 30th @4:30pm EST -  This event is sponsored by the Lehman LGBTQ+ Collective and the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium.  Linda La is an international, SAG-AFTRA performer, recording artist, writer, teacher, curator and more. From Burnside Ave in the Bronx, New York, her roots in American and Caribbean culture brought her to Vogue Ballroom where she shaped her experimental sound. She has been articled in both AFROPUNK and The Fader. She has curated performances with New York Live Arts, VICE and more. A 2021 recipient of the New York State Proclamation Award, she also appears as Swan in the hit series finale of POSE on FX. Residing on Munsee-Lenape land, she continues servicing Black and Brown transgender communities as co-founder of The House of Transcendence.
