Professor Crystal L. George-Moses
Crystal L. George-Moses, LMSW, has over 20 years’ experience in child welfare, parenting curriculum development, teen pregnancy prevention and parenting, program development, supervision and staff training. She has also facilitated parenting, teen girls, and couples’ groups. Her work also includes encouraging individuals and families to advocate for themselves within their own communities through legislative advocacy, coordinating political forums, and other forms of community organizing. Her dissertation addresses the experiences of child welfare workers with policy reform and the implementation of evidence-based practice models. Additional research interests include the impact of income support programs and child welfare, policing, and incarceration in low-income and working-class communities.
