Public Health

Undergraduate

Upon completion of the B.S. in Public Health, graduates will be able to do the following:

Goal I: Critically engage community and global health concepts and principles

To accomplish this goal, students will be able to:

    1. Assess needs, resources, and capacity for the public health program & research.
    2. Engage Community and global health concepts and principles.
    3. Implement health-based intereventions
    4. Counsel people about behavior changes.

     

Goal II: Assess needs, resources, and capacity for the public health program & research.

To accomplish this goal, students will be able to:

    1. Demonstrate appropriate professional skills in the workplace.
    2. Understand and practice global health ethics.
    3. Use a variety of methods and strategies to conduct health research

 

Goal III: Communicate and advocate for global health and human rights.

To accomplish this goal, students will be able to:

  • Adminster and evaluate health programs in low,middle, and high income settings.
  • Assess need, resources, and capacity for public health programs and research.
  • Communicate and advocate for global health and human rights.
