Stefano Vaccara, Sicilian born with Italian, French and US nationalities, is an executive editor and columnist at America Oggi, the only Italian language daily newspaper in the United States. He also corresponds from the United Nations for America Oggi and for Radio Radicale. His articles, interviews, and opinions have been published in major Italian newspapers and magazines over the past 20 years. Since 1997, he has taught Italian language and culture at The New School.
Since 2009, he has taught an LEH 300 course titled "The Mafia: Demystifying a Social and Political Phenomenon" and an LEH 301 course title: "Media & Democracy: from Citizien Kane to Wikileaks" at Lehman College. At the moment, he is also writing abook on the origin of the Mafia in America. He has a Masters in International Relations from Boston University and a Laurea di Dottore in Storia from Universitá degli Studi di Siena, Italy.
