Database Trials

Database Trials

Lehman College librarians work with other faculty and researchers to obtain trials to databases we may subscribe to. These trials give us an idea about whether faculty and students will find these databases useful. Please provide your librarians with feedback about these resources.

PsycTESTS (through May 7, 2015)
-Available both on and off campus-
PsycTESTS is a research database that provides access to psychological tests, measures, scales, surveys, and other assessments as well as descriptive information about the test and its development and administration. More information is available here.

History Vault (through May 8, 2015)
-Available only on campus-
This trial is to 6 databases in ProQuest's History Vault collection. The databases are:

  • Black Freedom 1
  • Immigration
  • Law and Society since the Civil War
  • NAACP 1
  • Politics and Society 1960-1975
  • Slavery and the Law

Simply click on any of the databases and then choose -Browse- from the top menu to explore a certain database/module.

19th Century Masterfile (through May 20, 2015)
- Available only on campus-
The periodical database contains roughly 8,000 academic periodicals from the late 1700's to 1930. 19th Century Masterfile as a whole contains some 20 million citations, with links to open access and subscription-based sources like Hathitrust and ARTstor.
