Emmy Award-Winning Actor Peter Scolari To Visit Lehman October 17

The campus community is invited to join Professor Marilyn Sokol (Journalism, Communication and Theatre) for her next meeting of "The Working Professional" on Monday, October 17, as she welcomes acclaimed actor Peter Scolari to Lehman College. The discussion will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Lovinger Theatre.

Scolari has appeared in numerous productions on Broadway and in film and television. Most recently, he appeared with Professor Sokol in "In the Wings" at the Promenade Theatre. His other Broadway credits include Sly Fox, Hairspray, Out of This World and Ziegfeld Follies (Encores!), and he won the Best Actor Award in the Berkshires Theater Festival for his role in The Foreigner.

In film, Scolari has appeared in The Polar Express, That Thing You Do and From the Earth to the Moon. His numerous performances on television include roles in "Bosom Buddies," "Newhart" (which earned him three Emmy nominations), VQT (for which he won the Emmy), "Family Ties," "E.R." and "The West Wing." He has also appeared on "The Tonight Show," "Letterman," "The Today Show" and "GMA" and was the voice of characters in such cartoons as "Batman," "Family Guy," "Animaniacs," "Tiny Toons" and "Pinky and the Brain." In "Koko the Clown," he gave a critically acclaimed performance as Mr. Tightrope.
