FYI
Faculty Service Opportunities
Serving on College governance committees is a wonderful opportunity for early and mid-career faculty to have their voices heard. It is also a very important way to document service to the College, one of the three "legs" of the tenure and promotion process. The College Senate Governance Committee and the boards of the Lehman College Association for Campus Activities and the Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation are seeking nominations. If you are interested in participating in faculty governance, please read the email you should have received on March 12 from Duane Tananbaum, Chair of the Governance Committee, with the subject line "Senate Committee Nominations."
Calling all Faculty and Staff Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs)!

Availability of Student Evaluation of Teaching Results
Lehman will make available the numerical results of the Student Evaluation of Teaching and Learning (SETL) on the restricted Lehman 360. Students will receive access to the information after the complete reports have been sent to instructors and department chairs. Instructors play a vital role in motivating students to respond to their surveys. Higher response rates seem to result from instructors reminding students of the opportunity to provide their course evaluation. Please encourage your students to participate in SETL when the survey opens on May 2. It is in the interest of instructors and students that as many as possible participate to ensure that the results are truly representative.
Haven for Employees
Last month the senior staff at Lehman notified the campus community of its ongoing commitment to a safe, respectful, and affirming learning and working environment. Faculty, staff, and students were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the CUNY Policy on Sexual Misconduct and complete the interactive Haven for Employees online learning module. Please see this letter from the provost for more information and instructions on how to register for Haven.
e-Digest Submission Guidelines
Are you now, or have you ever been … interested in submitting an item to the Provost’s e-Digest? Do you already submit content for publication? We now have new guidelines in place to streamline the process. Please see this guide for detailed information on how to submit content going forward.
Faculty Publications and Achievements
Assistant Professors Amanda Sisselman-Borgia (Social Work) and Katherine Burt (Health Sciences) were recently awarded a $15,000 grant from the CUNY Interdisciplinary Council on Health Professions to hold a special faculty development seminar this summer. The goal is to build the capacity of HS2N faculty to introduce and engage students in the peer leadership model around behavioral health advocacy in Bronx communities.
We are always delighted to highlight the accomplishments of Lehman faculty. If you would like us to feature your work in a future eDigest, please contact us at edigest.provost@lehman.cuny.edu.
