A Message from Lehman College President José Luis Cruz
MSCHE Website Launch and Request for Feedback

Dear Colleagues,

As you may know, Lehman College is in the process of seeking reaccreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Right now, we are advancing our efforts for our MSCHE institutional self-study process in preparation for the official site visit scheduled for April 7-10, 2019, and a preliminary meeting with the chair of the site visit in December. This work is providing all of us with an excellent opportunity to appraise—and realign—our efforts in regard to mission, vision and values, as well as pertinent guidelines and requirements.

I am pleased to announce that Lehman College has launched a webpage dedicated to Lehman’s MSCHE self-study process and review. On our MSCHE webpage you will find information about the accreditation review process and a link to a draft of the 172-page Self-Study report.

It is my hope that Lehman community members will review the draft Self-Study report and offer feedback on its contents. There is a link to a survey that can be filled out on the webpage. If possible, please complete the survey and return it by November 3. Also, we will be holding a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, October 24 at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the East Dining Room to discuss the draft Self-Study report.

The MSCHE self-study process and review are integral to Lehman College fulfilling its mission and maintaining an exemplary level of critical service to our Bronx community and beyond. I appreciate your participation in the process, and look forward to your comments and suggestions.

All the best,

JL
@LehmanPresident
