*NUR 755: Cultural Perspectives in Natality.
3 hours, 3 credits. The ideology of natality includes perceptions and values about sexuality, childbirth, contraception, and abortion. Natality can be used as a prism through which to view the social and economic history of women in modern America. Changing ideas about childhood, the home and domesticity, women's place in education and in the world of work have all influenced and been influenced by concepts of natality.
