André Morgan, Program Coordinator

André Morgan is the program cordinator at CIHE. He ensures that events hosted and sponsored by the Institute are well supported. He liaisons with community based partners and actively seeks out other organizations to join in the Institute's effort of achieving health equity for all New York City residents. He recently graduated from Hostos Community College with an A.S. degree in Community Health, and he is presently attending Stony Brook University in pursuit of a BSc. in sociology and biology. He plans to attend medical school where he will study Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases medicine.

Michelle Morris

Michelle Morris is pursuing her Master's degree at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. She is in the Health Promotion Track in the Sociomedical Sciences Department. With an emphasis on social determinants of health, Morris focuses her work on pursuing health equity. She spent the previous four years at the Positive Care Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, one of the largest HIV clinics in the upper Midwest. In this multi-disciplinary setting, she worked with people living with HIV/AIDS to address barriers to care. Morris holds a an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota. Her interests include public health; life sciences; and studies in race, class, and gender.

Jeanette Merrill

As the journalism intern at CIHE, Jeanette Merrill employs a variety of mediums to document and promote the Institute's initiatives. Merrill, who received her B.S. degree in public relations from Boston University, is pursuing her M.P.H. in Reproductive, Adolescent, and Family Health at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Prior to moving to New York, Merrill served as the prevention coordinator at the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She is interested in reproductive rights, maternal and child health, politics and social determinants of health.
