This class consists of two parts. The classroom portion meets Monday thru Thursday between 10:00am and 12:00pm and 1:00pm thru 3:00pm room SP 202. Classroom time will be used for lecture, critique of student work and the presentation of new material. These parts will give an overview of the production and design aspects and techniques of modern and ancient theatre, not only here in America, but throughout the world.

These classes will include research, script analysis and creative projects. These projects will be presented to the class where they will receive instructor and peer review. In the second part of this course students will be engaging with their peers in a creative and collaborative manner to conceive of and create an original scenic design for this semesters final original play. This production will be constructed from found and recycled objects and researched projection material.
