The following activities are provided by the Career Services Center (CSC) to assist Lehman students and alumni with their career development and job search so they can successfully meet the challenges of the current global job market.

MAKE YOUR RESUME POP!
Develop practical skills and hands-on instructions on how to write an effective professional resume that will help you stand out in your job search.

THE COVER LETTER – WHY DO YOU NEED ONE?
This interactive workshop will furnish you with the knowledge and skills required to craft an effective cover letter which highlights your qualifications for that position. You are required to bring a job description of a position for which you are interested in applying.

Develop an understanding of the interview process, the importance of professional attire, and follow-up guidelines.

ACE YOUR NEXT INTERVIEW: LEARN HOW TO ANSWER TRADITIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL QUESTIONS – Series 2
This is an interactive workshop. You will become familiar with typical interview questions that employers may use in an interview, strategies for responding, and an opportunity to practice.

MOCK INTERVIEW CLINIC - Series 3
Prerequisite: Steps to Preparing for the Interview AND Ace Your Next Interview.
In this practice session you will be interviewed by a professional to help you develop your communication, interpersonal skills, and confidence in an interview.
Dress professionally as if you were in an actual interview.

MTA NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT INTERNSHIP – Paid and Unpaid Opportunities,
Shuster Hall 231
Must attend a Prequalification Session to be considered for Internship:
- Tues., Apr. 23, 5pm-6pm;
- Mon., May 6, 11am-12pm;
- Wed., May 15, 2pm-3pm.
Requirements: Minimum 60 credits earned, registered for Spring 2013 with at least 6 credits and minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Contact Juan Vazquez, Internship Coordinator for more information.
