The General Education Program sponsors regular college-wide workshops at the end of each semester, typically the last semester of the term, which is often designated as a Reading Day.
The earliest workshops were devoted to learning objectives in the Distribution Areas:
The Spring 2007 Workshop was devoted to the creation of syllabi in General education: Course Objectives, Student Expectations, and the Syllabus.
The Fall 2007 Workshop was devoted to refining the program’s learning objectives: Meeting Expectations - Matching Student Learning and Course Objectives.
The Spring 2008 workshop was replaced by the Fifth Annual CUNY General Education Conference, which was hosted by Lehman: Teaching Millennial Learners.
