General Equivalency Diploma

College & Career Readiness / TASC Prep

As of January 2014, the GED testing program became more than the high school equivalency. The new test, the TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion, will continue to provide adults the opportunity to earn a high school credential, but it goes further by measuring career- and college-readiness skills that are the focus of today’s curriculum and tomorrow’s success. Four content areas—literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies—will measure a foundational core of knowledge and skills that are essential for career and college readiness.

This means that all GED test-takers must start fresh after January 1, 2014. Old scores will no longer be carried forward. There will be more emphasis on critical thinking, more questions on science, and more writing. Our College & Career Readiness classes provide test preparation for the new TASC exams. A placement test is administered. Placement test fee: $20 (check/money order/debit card only) SAVE $20! Take all 3 classes and test fee is credited towards your tuition! Ideal for re-testers, for improved skills in the workplace and those seeking support for individual subjects.
