Research synopsis

Prof. PhilippMy research uses in silico and combinatorial methods in the study of protein-ligand interactions. The work concentrates on the serine hydrolases and includes the development of oligopeptide and transition-state analog inhibitors of blood serum coagulation factors, combinatorial and molecular modeling of serine hydrolase inhibitors, including boronic acid inhibitors of thrombin and the tuberculosis beta-lactamase, and the study of the action of boronic and borinic acids as enzyme analogs.
