(Courtesy, Lehman College library).This cartoon appeared in an unidentified newspaper in the 1930's but that's Attilio cooking the spaghetti. Paul Bartlett sculpted the four figures above the entrance to main branch of the New York Public Library. He and Attilio worked together on a memorial to Lafayette for the French government which was installed in the town of Metz. This dinner celebrates the the completion of the project. The only postage required to ship the massive sculpture to Metz was a single French postage stamp. The memorial was destroyed in World War II..
