Second Annual Lehman College Jazz Festival

The Second Annual Lehman College Jazz Festival took place in the Lovinger Theater from Wednesday, November 17 through Friday, November 19, 2010. A special Thursday night concert featured the Celia Cruz High School Jazz Band under the direction of Lehman alumna Uma Karkala, with guest vocalist Leslie Lewis, Gerard Hagen on piano, Allan Molnar on vibraphone, Larry Ridley on bass, and Terry Silverlight on drums. On Friday night, the Lehman Jazz Band performed with guest artists the Capitol Bones Jazz Ensemble. Throughout the festival, New York-area high school ensembles were judged via videoconference from Kansas and Hong Kong.
